TUCKER AND BEVVY

Since my Sunday was busy with my sister's regatta at 8 in the morning, I had to push my Sunday brunch date with my mom to Thursday. But any day is a brunch day. We decided to finally try Tucker and Bevvy, which has a Picnic Food shop by Walls in Waikiki but opened a brunch dine in restaurant in Kapahulu. Tucker and Bevvy started in Sydney, Australia and made it's way to the islands a couple of years back. They stand for simple, fresh, and healthy food. All the three things that I love.

To start off our meal, my mom and I ordered the C-Holiday to share. It is a cold pressed juice that contains pineapple, orange and mint. It was delicious and a refreshing start to our day. I would go back just to get more of this yummy (healthy) juice.

I had the Tim Tam waffles that comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the top. Australian waffles are a tad bit different than American waffles because they aren't very sweet. It is a savory waffle instead of a sweet waffle. But it was great to experience a new culture and different way of cooking.

My mom had the ricotta pancakes that was light and fluffy. These pancakes were very yummy and light. I think the ricotta is the secret ingredient to making airy pancakes. I think I ate at least a third of her dish ... Sorry mom but it was so yummy.
