Luckily I was on Kaua'i when their annual Kaua'i County Fair was happening. The fair is always around August and is held at stadium. There is food booths, rides, entertainment and a lot of different vendors. But the highlight of my night and my trip was winning Bingo. I will spare you the funny story and crazy details but bottom line we won $500. Good things do happen to good people.
The next day, Micah, his parents and I went to Bull Shed. Bull Shed is a good steak house on Kaua'i. I got the prime rib and it was absolutely delicious. It came with access to the salad bar as well, which I loved. It was a nice night with great people.
The following day, my mom and sister flew in for Maka's second shower. It was a simple, elegant shower with a blue chevron theme. It was a small shower with only about 20 people. We played games, ate food catered from Smiley's and shared many laughs with good company.
This was a great trip to end summer break. I am so glad I got to spend some time with the Chow's before heading back to school. Until we meet again.
