A CUP OF TEA

Since my best friend is leaving me to go back to Arizona, we wanted to have a little last minute girl time. We decided to have afternoon tea at A Cup of Tea in Kailua. I was looking forward to this all day because I have never been to this tea place and I get to see my best friend one last time. 

When walking into A Cup of Tea you immediately get in the mood from how the venue is decorated. Even the workers have cute outfits on as well. The first thing you do when coming to A Cup of Tea is pick the tea you will be drinking. There were over 25 different choices ranging from English Breakfast to tea with chocolate. They have samples that you can see and smell to help you make your decision. Anela and I chose Peppermint and Lavender Earl Grey. These two teas were fabulous and a perfect compliment to our food.

Next, you choose what set you want. We chose the Nikki set. This had Tea Sandwiches (Egg with dill, Pastrami with honey mustard and Tomato pesto), Fresh Fruit (oranges and grapes), Scones (Cinnamon Raisin), and Dessert (Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Pecan Bars). It doesn't look like a lot of food but it sure does fill you up. My favorite was the scones with lemon curd and strawberry preserves. Oh that sure did hit the spot.

But overall, no matter where we were at, it was nice to just sit down and talk to my best friend. That is probably the biggest thing that I miss. Just being able to sit down face to face and talk to my best friend about anything and everything under the sun. Having amazing food and tea was just a added bonus. Oh how I will miss days like this.
