My boyfriend's sister is expecting a baby boy in October so of course, she had a baby shower. But not just any shower, a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower. Everything was inspired with Dr. Seuss books in mind.
For instance, the center pieces and favors were all Cat in the Hat inspired. The center pieces were absolutely wonderful and all handmade by the Hiranaka Ohana. There was shower scrubbies and flower pens in the cat's hat. How practical.
The favors were Samurai candied popcorn. Samurai offers 10 pounds of bulk popcorn for only $30 and you get to choose two colors. We individually packaged the popcorn and put custom tags on as well. It was such a deal and a great idea for any party favors.
The sign in table was adorable. Thing 1 and Thing 2 pen holders and decorated with different Dr. Seuss books. Instead of a typical sign in book, a Dr. Seuss book was used for each guest to write a special message.
Even the game table was completely decked out. The games at the shower were just the kind I like. Games that I don't have to move around but is still fun. There were activities such as Guess that Price, where you guess the price of different baby items like baby food, wipes and diapers. We played a lot of paper games such as matching the Dr. Seuss character to the perspective book and fill in the blank Dr. Seuss book.
My favorite part of any party is the food. The food was delicious made by the Chow and Hiranaka family. There was rice, chinese chicken salad, tofu salad, chili, bbq chicken, noodles and roast pork for lunch. The drinks were all Lorax themed. How adorable. I can't forget to mention the vast amount of desserts. There was butter mochi, brownies, cupcakes, dobash cake, jello, mango bread and much more. Needless to say I was absolutely stuffed after this shower.
There was even a photo booth with Dr. Seuss props for guest to enjoy. It was such a crack up seeing everyone get into character.
This was a great shower success. The food was great, the decorations were stunning and everyone had a great time. Plus not to mention all the wonderful (essential) gifts Maka got. They are sure going to come in handy. I can't wait to meet the new addition to the family. October come sooner!

How lovely Dr. Seuss baby shower it was!! I am so pleased to see all these pictures of colorful décor. I had also got the chance to host a beautiful baby shower for my cousin so I booked one of the best event locations in LA. The décor was very beautiful over there and all of the food was also tasty.
