CAFE KAILA

On this wonderful Friday morning, I received great news. I found out that I was accepted to be apart of a exclusive Shidler College of Business Club called BEST (Best Executive Society of Tomorrow). This club helps business students (like myself) gain the tools and skills needed to be prepared for the workforce. So as a result of this wonderful news, my mom (with a little encouragement) decided to treat me to breakfast at Cafe Kaila.

Cafe Kaila is a brunch and lunch restaurant located on Kapiolani Boulevard in Market City Shopping Center. Cafe Kaila opened in 2007 as has had a great following ever since. After opening, word started to travel like rapid fire on how amazing of a restaurant it was. This is a true example of a success through social media and word of mouth. Take myself for example, I found out about this place through Instagram. With the success of the first Cafe Kaila location, two stores have opened in Japan.

There is normally always a table wait, big or small, during the morning rush. Mainly since Cafe Kaila is on the smaller side but make good use of the space. Luckily for my mom and I we only waited around 10-15 minutes until a table opened up. It is 10 times easier to get a table when you have only a party of two.

I already knew what I was going to order before sitting and that was the Belgian waffles with strawberries. Just the sound of it makes my mouth water. The waffles were warm and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Just the way I like my waffles. The strawberries, powdered sugar, whipped cream and syrup add a nice sweetness. This was a splurge kind of breakfast, but hey it was a celebration.

My mom got the Classic Eggs Benedict off the Specials menu. The eggs Benedict came with herb roasted potatoes. I am not a huge potato fan but boy were these delicious. My favorite part of going to explore new eateries with my mom is that I can always pick off her plate.

My first Cafe Kaila experience was a success. I definitely give this joint two thumbs up. I love brunch places and now I can add this to my regular rotation of brunch eateries. If you never been to Cafe Kaila before, I suggest rounding up the girls to head over here for a morning brunch.
