My first real meal after my surgery was the early bird special at Gyotaku. It runs from 4-6 pm for only $12.95. It comes with miso soup, California roll, shrimp and vegetable tempura and a choice of meat. The different meat options are teriyaki chicken, chicken katsu, furikaki salmon, tonkatsu etc. Not only was the food great but I was able to get out of my house. Bed rest isn't as fun as it sounds. But I had a nice dinner with my mom who deserved a little break. It isn't easy being my nurse after all but I am super appreciative of her. What would we do without our moms?
